Joanna Rock, PhD
Principal Consultant
By strategically applying her expertise in talent management, Joanna enables her clients to achieve significant business results. With over 20 years of experience in assessment and executive coaching, she assists leaders and managers in identifying the critical behaviors needed to elevate their performance to the highest levels. Whether coaching executives or assessing individuals for selection or development, Joanna provides clients with crucial insights on leadership behaviors that impact the business’s bottom line.
Prior to joining Summit, Joanna founded and led her own consulting firm, JRock Consulting (formerly Fisher Rock Consulting), where she specialized in helping organizations and leaders elevate performance through strategic talent and leadership development initiatives. Before launching her firm, she built a strong foundation through corporate roles, including serving as Director of Organization and Management Development for PepsiCo International, where she oversaw leadership development and career development programs, organizational surveys, and Performance Management. Joanna also held the position of Senior Manager at Aon Consulting, where she designed, implemented, and validated programs in executive assessment, leadership development, selection, performance management, and customer service and training for clients across industries such as financial services, travel, technology, pharmaceuticals, medical catalog sales, and insurance.
Joanna has a PhD in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from New York University, a BA in Psychology from Brandeis University, and was an Adjunct Associate Professor at the CUNY Baruch Zicklin School of Business, International Executive Programs, teaching Individual Assessment and Coaching in Singapore and Taiwan. She is certified in MBTI, Leadership Judgment Indicator, OPQ, DiSC, and Hogan Assessments.
