JCSU Partners with Summit to Relaunch Student Leadership Certificate Program
Charlotte, N.C. October 5, 2021 – Summit Leadership Partners, a Charlotte-based leadership advisory firm, has partnered with Johnson C. Smith University, a Charlotte HBCU, to reinstate the Engaging B.U.L.L.S. (Building Unique Lifelong Leaders for Success) certificate program. As part of the collaboration, Summit Leadership Partners will provide funding for, among other things, student and faculty mentor participation at professional conferences, purchase training material and resources, and create a mentorship program.

Listed as one of the fastest growing companies by the Charlotte Business Journal, Inc, and Consulting Magazine, Summit will utilize its leadership advisory expertise to guide JCSU’s students in discovering and maximizing their leadership potential in the workforce. Summit will be actively involved with student participants through class lectures andone-on-one student learning sessions.

Engaging B.U.L.L.S. provides students with the opportunity to earn a leadership certificate through a series of workshops, seminars, and symposiums. The certificate program, which was originally developed in 2014, is housed in JCSU’s Public Leadership Studies program whose mission is to engage students and community members through education about leadership principles, theories, and practices to empower them to effect change in various communities.
